Flagship report
Lifecycle and churn report
A written, charted account of how subscribers join, pause, renew, and leave — prepared for operators who need a clear picture before they change offers or billing.
Who this is for
Publishers, membership clubs, meal-kit and box programmes, and other paid-recurring houses in the United Kingdom that already keep join, billing, pause, and cancellation records.
What you hold at the end
A bound report and a live briefing that name where people leave, in which month of tenure, after which events, and with what language in cancellation notes — so the commercial team can decide what to test next.
Scope
One subscriber base (one title, club, or programme). Historical window typically 24 months, or the full life of the title if shorter.
Included
- A join-to-leave map with tenure bands, pause use, failed payments, and stated reasons
- Cohort tables by start month, acquisition route, and plan length
- A visual pack of charts suitable for a board or investor pack (print-ready PDFs, not a live screen)
- A 90-minute briefing in London or by video, with the report in hand
- A one-page action list of findings ranked by size of the leaving group, not by fashion
Not included
- Software licences, logins, or ongoing dashboard access
- Running A/B tests or rewriting your emails for you
- Legal advice on consumer cancellation rights
- Work on more than one title unless contracted separately
Who prepares it
Prepared by a Pathbase analyst and reviewed by a second reader before the briefing.
How the work proceeds
- Scoping call to agree the extract fields, tenure definitions, and who will sit in the briefing
- Secure transfer of a de-identified extract (we supply a field list; we do not need names)
- Cleaning, cohort cuts, and chart drafting in our London studio
- Internal second read against the original extract
- Delivery of the report PDF and printed copies if requested, then the briefing
Place and time
Work is done at 65 Guild Street. Briefings may be held here, at your office in Greater London, or by video.
Four to six weeks from a complete extract
What you prepare
You will need a person who can export billing events, plan codes, pause flags, and free-text cancellation reasons. We send a field checklist after the scoping call.
Limits
We do not accept extracts that include full card numbers, passwords, or unredacted customer correspondence beyond cancellation reason text. If the extract is incomplete, the timeline pauses until it is usable.
How the fee is set
Fixed fee from £4,800 for a single programme with a standard extract. Larger bases, multiple plans, or a request for printed board packs add to the quote.
Next step
Request a report scoping call through the contact form, naming the title and roughly how many paying relationships you hold.
