What to export before anyone draws a chart
A field list we send to subscription houses in Britain: events, not screenshots, and no names if you can help it.
Screenshots of an admin console are not an extract. We need rows. The field list we send after a scoping call is boring on purpose:
- A stable relationship key that is not an email address
- Join date and, if you have it, the acquisition route in the language your team actually uses
- Plan code and billed amount for each period
- Pause start and end, or a monthly paused flag
- Payment outcome per period
- Cancel date and free-text reason, unedited
Names, addresses, and full account numbers stay with you. If your lawyer wants a data-processing note, we will sign a short one that matches this list. We will not accept a dump of your entire CRM “just in case”.
If print and digital live in two systems, say so before the clock starts. Stitching them after the first draft is how reports miss their board date.
